When JuicyChef lived in Paris, she befriended the Lebanese owner of her local épicerie. One day, he offered her some of his lentil soup made lovingly by his wife, who had brought an extra bowl for her to share. From that day forward, JuicyChef tried to recreate this bowl of friendship and Lebanese hospitality when she moved to Jamaica. It’s not quite the same as her friend Halifa’s, the addition of optional yogurt wasn’t in the original but her rendition is delicious nonetheless. This spice infused red lentil soup is light, healthy and ideal for any season. Bon Appétit!
